Procedure
The Moxi remote allows you to
access, control, and enjoy the
many features of your media
center. You can also use this
remote as the primary remote for
many brands of TVs and audio
devices.
Your cable operator may provide
a different remote. If your
remote does not look like the
one pictured here, refer to the
manual provided by your cable
operator.
The Moxi remote operates the
media center, and—once pro-
grammed—will simultaneously
control the power, volume, and
mute functions of your TV or
audio receiver.
Use the tables on the opposite
side of this pamphlet to find the
codes for your brand of TV or
audio receiver.
If your brand is not listed, or if
the given codes do not work, fol-
low the instructions in the Pro-
gramming by Search section.
Programming by Code
1. Turn on the TV or receiver you
want the remote to control.
2. On the Moxi remote, press and
hold the MOXI and OK but-
tons simultaneously until the
LED at the top of the remote
blinks twice.
3. Using the number buttons on
the remote, enter one of the
codes for your device from the
reference tables (on the oppo-
site side of this pamphlet).
When you enter the correct
code, the LED blinks twice. (If it
blinks once, the code was
invalid—try again.)
4. Press the Power or Mute but-
ton on the remote. If the TV or
receiver does not respond,
repeat steps 2 and 3 using
another listed code. Repeat
until successful, or use the Pro-
gramming by Search proce-
dure.
Programming by Search
If your TV or receiver is not listed
or does not respond to the codes
listed, try programming by
search. Programming by search
allows the remote cycle through
codes to find one that works
with your TV or receiver.
1. Turn on the TV or receiver you
want the remote to control.
2. On the Moxi remote, press and
hold the MOXI and OK but-
tons simultaneously until the
LED at the top of the remote
blinks twice.
3. Using the number buttons on
the remote, press 9910 for
TV, or 9911 for audio
receiver. The LED light blinks
twice.
4. Press the Mute button.
• If this mutes the device, go
to step 5.
• If this does not mute the
device, press the up arrow
to advance to the next
code, and then press Mute
again. Repeat until the
device responds.
5. Press OK to set the current
code and finish.
Programming a Third-Party
Learning Universal Remote
Moxi remotes are built by Univer-
sal Electronics Incorporated
(http://www.uei.com) and use a
technology called XMP (previ-
ously known as twirp). Some
learning remotes may not be
compatible with this technology
but many are.
If you are having problems pro-
gramming your third-party
remote, contact the manufac-
turer of your learning remote or
UEI directly.
Replacing batteries
When replacing batteries, use
only high quality, non-corro-
sive batteries designed for use
in electronic equipment.
ch/page changes channels,
and pages through vertical
listings in the Moxi Menu
mute toggles sound on and off
vol changes TV or
receiver volume
number keys provide
direct channel tuning
clear deletes a character during
text entry, or removes the flip bar
enter applies entry immediately
jump takes you to channel
last viewed

Resetting to factory default
To reset the remote to the
original factory setting, enter
code 9999, and then press
OK in step 3.
